The research conducted by Huazong University in China involved 31,750 volunteers. All these people were researched for 6 years. Research has observed the habit of sleeping and cholesterol levels of all people during the day. At the beginning of the research, no one had a stroke problem, but 1,577 people had a stroke during the research.
Research has shown that sleeping for 9 hours or longer at night increases the risk of stroke by 23%. In addition, it was found that people who sleep more than needed during the day and night have an 85% higher risk of getting a stroke.
